We would love to sit down with each of you and talk for hours about the beauty of the Camino. Each day we had beauty surrounding us as we rode around every corner or straight into the distance. Being alone on the road offered us peace to take in the great scenery. We would highly suggest this trip to anyone and everyone. After a lot of debating here are the top 10 pictures of our trip going counting down to number 1 being the best...OK so I lied…its really top 15
Number 15:

Katies least favorite and one of my favorites, so we agreed to put this one at 15. This weary pilgrim found comfort with a stray cat while walking alone. The common water fountain where everyone fills up before heading out of town, the seashell necklace, and the wine in the water bottle is a perfect description for some of the pilgrims on the road. – W
Number 14:

Katie took this one as we were heading into Galicia. Throughout this journey we hit very different terrain and sometimes the paths were really beautiful. This was one of those moments. – W
Number 13:

We had many beautiful sunrises. Each day we would ride out of small towns or big cities away from the sunrise. My favorite was staying in small towns so we could see the sunrise in more remote and open spots along the trail. This is a great shot with the bike. – W
Number 12:

This picture was taken when we stopped briefly to enjoy the view during a ride downhill. Earlier in the day we had a pretty rough climb and therefore the ride down was even more spectacular. We took the road the entire way down and just coasted while taking in the views, it was incredible. -K
Number 11:

We caught the sunrise surrounding the cathedral in Burgos as we road out of the city early one morning. As we exited the city the air was crisp and the streets were quiet except for the trickling of pilgrims saying “buen camino” as we passed. – K
Number 10:

The same morning as the picture before as we exited Burgos we passed through these beautiful trees lining this park gate. As I turned back to take this shot, a few Pilgrims lined up perfectly in the middle of the path. – W
Number 9:

Sometimes it took us awhile to get going in the mornings because we stopped often to take pictures of the beautiful sunrise. This morning was no exception. As we road through this park, Wes jetted off the path and up to the top of this hill to catch the perfect picture. I love how intensely the sun is shinning through the clouds in this one! – K
Number 8:

On our 4th day riding out of the sunrise we started coming out of Rioja wine region and into the hay fields. We actually stopped on the path because my tire was flat. As I started looking for the pump, I noticed the morning sun highlighting the yellow tint of the hay in the field. The cut hay lines in this picture are really simple and beautiful. – W
Number 7:

We rode with David today early out of Barbadadella. As we were riding we saw awesome fog covering different spots on the trail. We came to this river covered in fog and sat there for a while in awe of the scenery. – W
Number 6:

This is a great picture on our third day through the rioja region. Every day we would pass through vineyards picking the grapes for snacks in the afternoon. This picture embodies the heat in the afternoon, the arrow we see everywhere telling us the way of the Camino, the rocky terrain, the path winding downhill, and the vineyards in the distance. – W
Number 5:

I don’t remember exactly where this picture was taken along the camino, but I do know that it is my favorite picture. It symbolizes the steps taken by so many pilgrims and it also demonstrates the simplicity of the yellow arrow pointing so many pilgrims along the right way. I just love everything about this picture. – K
Number 4:

We rode on flat ground a lot this day covering about 50 mile while being chased by a storm. Right when we got to a small town it started down pouring. We found a small place that took donations and stayed there for the night. When the storm passed I went outside and took some pictures of the sunset. I felt like God was trying to reach down to earth with the big line of clouds above. This is a great picture of the clouds after the storm. – W
Number 3:

Climbing the mountains was tough. Each day we would climb around 1000′ – 3000′. The downhills varied from very steep on the path, too rocky on the path, and very smooth on the road. This shot is of Katie cruising down the best downhill we had. Steep enough to have great speed throughout, but easy enough to not hit the break every turn. We coasted downhill on the road for about 15 minutes on this one with beautiful green mountains around us. – W
Number 2:

After biking for a long while I took some shade in this tree. It was the first bit of shade for quite a while. When I was approaching the tree I noticed this old man sitting against the tree sleeping. Another perfect shot of the Pilgrim on the road. I was impressed by the age of the people we saw walking the Camino. – W
Number 1:

Oddly enough this shot kinda sums up the Camino for me. Sometimes we would ride and out of nowhere this perfect awe inspiring moment would be right in front of us. The moment I saw this I knew it would be my favorite shot, even before taking the picture. We did not look for anything on the Camino, but the Camino brought everything to us that we didn’t know we needed.- W
